Decoding Cell Biology
What do we do
Welcome to RIVERA-OMICS (Omics Molecular Innovations and Commercialization Strategies), a newly established academic initiative dedicated to pushing the boundaries of molecular biology scientific training and innovation. We have a specific focus on 'omics' technologies such as genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics and their use to profile domains such as cancer, aging, and microbiology. Therefore, research trainees and student members craft and develop compelling research projects that leverage these omics technologies. Additionally, our mission extends beyond scientific discoveries; we actively work on exploring strategic commercialization pathways for innovative molecular technologies of interest. Finally, we foster interdisciplinary collaborations through which we seamlessly connect data-driven findings with experimental validations, unveiling hidden relationships within biological systems.
Join us in pushing scientific exploration to real-world applications across industries.
Navigate the website to explore current projects or meet the PI, and discover how our research aims to be within the bleeding edge of biotechnology. Codebase for published analysis is made available through our Github page, and wetlab procedures can be found in our Protocols page.
The group is actively recruiting undergraduate students eager to contribute to early-stage projects. Join us on this exciting journey as we we push the boundaries of knowledge, deriving transformative insights and paving the way for groundbreaking biological discoveries.
